This weekend, my girlfriends and I took a day trip to the Toronto Islands, and I have to say it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday. My parents used to take us to the Islands frequently as kids--touring the rides on Centre Island, and even venturing around on bicycles that my dad helped us truck over on the ferry!
This time around, the four of us girls started at Ward Island where we had a beautiful lunch at Cafe Rectory and walked the boardwalk (fun seeing the city centre from this vantage point!). We completed the day at Centre Island, with a bottle of champagne on a picnic table by the water. Perfection!
